Dr. Alison Sutton

Dr. Alison Sutton was raised and has lived most of her life in Oshawa.   From a very young age she felt a deep connection to animals and a desire to advocate for their care.  She began her long career as a co-op student at a local clinic in which she later returned to work as a veterinarian.

Alison graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999, and practiced at a clinic in Toronto for 2 years before coming home to work in Oshawa. She worked for 15 years at the clinic she grew up in and then ventured out east to work at a smaller, country clinic for 5 years.  She has returned here to work in the area she has always called home.

Alison treats mostly small animals. In addition, she has a passion for wildlife – working on her off time with a local wildlife rescue and has also donated her time to the turtle conservation centre performing surgeries.

In the clinic, she has a special interest in ophthalmology and small animal dentistry. She also loves to tackle complex internal medicine cases.

When not at the clinic she spends her time with her husband, two children, 3 cats, 3 dogs, a gecko and a hedgehog.  She loves spending time outdoors, often kayaking, hiking, and camping in the great outdoors.

Dr. Alison is very happy to join our team and is looking forward to meeting our clients and their furry families!
